When a customer came to us with a problem we were keen to help and a slightly unusual electro magnet was the ideal solution.

Extracting turnings from a confined space can be difficult. When the turnings are in the bottom of a steel vessel then focussing the magnetic flux in the right direction, without the magnet being attracted to the vessel is a real problem.

The solution; a new electro magnet with bespoke pole shoe design to direct the magnetic flux plus non-magnetic buffers to stop the magnet sticking to the vessel. This bespoke solution was designed, manufactured and delivered in less than 8 weeks.
