Pneumatic Edge Bending machine

The Rotary Pneumatic Edge Bending machine is used to bend copper strip, on edge, up to 180° with no build up of material in the bend area.

The pneumatic edge bending machine is easily and quickly set up. Any angle up to 180° can be formed to make hairpin coils. It is also possible to bend two coils at the same time.
The bend radius is determined by the pin diameter and a range of pins are provided with every machine. Standard pins are between 6mm and 25mm but other sizes are available on request. Pin change over is very quick and simple. Once set up, hairpin coils are produced in seconds with excellent consistency.

Installation of the machine requires only connection to a clean, dry, filtered and lubricated air supply at 8 – 10 bar (120- 150 p.s.i). The machine is supplied mounted on a pedestal but the pedestal can easily be removed and the machine can be mounted on a bench. An adjustable clamp arm is used to secure the copper in place throughout the bending operation and this prevents material build up in the bending area. Simple to set up and operate and you will soon be producing perfect hairpin coils. Minimal maintenance is required and this robust machine will give many years of reliable service. Additional pins can be ordered if required and pins of different diameters are also available.
